Homeward Bound
Homeward Bound By Curtis Johnson I’m going home, Just to listen to the soothing sounds; the sounds that I heard by day and by night; Those melodies of crickets late at night, and the harmonies of roosters crowing early mornings; A place where one experiences far less stress, and have a chance with longevity. I’m homeward bound where I can see my place of humble simplicity. A place of gratitude with a taste for humility, Where I understood the true meaning of civility, Where I was taught to love with all of my ability If you could go there, You too would walk on dusty grounds of stability, And tune in to the soothing sounds. The melodies of crickets late at night, and the harmonies of roosters crowing early mornings; If you could go there, You would understand the meaning of civility And you would learn to love with all your ability I’m going home to the place where I was born I’m homeward bound where I’ll place my feet on dusty ground I want to hear those country sounds That’s why I’m homeward bound 10262015
