Sinking Down
SINKING DOWN World’s trouble, for others i solve When mine piled up, i found no love My tears shed for their trauma Now am in it, they just watch like drama To the beggar’s feet i dropped my last Now i lack, they shunned me fast Really my heart is sinking down But my mind refuses to drown I was a pest to everyone i came across At a time, some said i had a curse Relatives, their sympathy mocked me In my hope cage, poverty locked me My one raiment became my signature As haggardness crept into my nature Really my heart is sinking down But my mind refuses to drown God, why is my blessing taking long? Still thinking where i got it wrong Again i ask, what is the worth of grace Or is here not really my place? I have obeyed spiritual principles Even the physical, yet no miracles Really my heart is sinking down But my mind refuses to drown The more i endure, i hurt If i complain, my hurt gets hot Maybe i need a destiny check-up For it seems my birth-day was a set up Maybe my dream was the betrayer And my reality a soothsayer Really my heart is sinking down But my mind refuses to drown
