A Parting of the Ways
To many, Shadowfire A new home Yet for a few, Castle Heartstone Was the place to be Lost in mist and magic Castle Heartstone will always remain To some, a fond memory To others, a source of anguish and pain For some, wanted to return... For a castle cannot be Without King and a Queen Without a Faerie, or whispering tree The kings of Air and Earth The Queen of Summer and Spring Each a Faerie ,they did bring Heartstone Eagle too For, on the backs of eagles They would fly To find Castle Heartstone Bring it back From when it was hidden from from view Such excitement... A little sadness and fear For ,now they would only meet In the Great Hall For the Traditional Feast, but once a year A parting of the ways Provisions were made How soon passed the days The last walk in the forest glade Soon it was time to fly To soar in a blue sky To find a way Find the stream of sighs Tears were shed Partings are always sad Shadowfire had grown close to their hearts The parting of the ways This was the time too To fly across a sea of blue Thus, in a dawn of a pink sky From the Sentinel Tower Six eagles flew into the sky Carrying with them The thoughts, best wishes and love of those far below The eagles golden glow, shining above
