My Golden Eagle-Trashed Contest
Way up there in the atmosphere, Is where my Golden Eagle lost his fear. It is where I met my new friend... I've always dreamed about flying so free with the eagles. Especially my invariant Golden Eagle. He soar's and attempts and flies to reach to the heaven's, But down here in the magnificent sky, is where he calls home. He lives higher than the flowers, but lower than the clouds. Last time I was with my eagle, he took me on a journey. We flew so free and my adrenaline was rushing At the speed of lightening... but.. At the same time I grew more frightened, Because of the distance between me and the land. For my eagle... -never let me go. Up and over, and lessening of wings flapping, All around my sky, and as my eagle starts to decline, I got a sense of sadness in the shallowness of his wings.. See, my eagle has always been my rock, And this time I was to be his aggregated stone. I asked him to land on the tree of his favorite altitude, And after he finished swooping, I could sense the conflict he was facing. He had traveled for so long, and was just so tired. He needed a particular kind of rest. But there I stood so mighty and said, “You can't give up now, I need you up here. You have your flocks and so many more journey's to fulfill without fear, The earth clearly needs you, and your creation. I've never seen another eagle with such a good reputation. You used to be so strong, and powerful, with no temptation. You used to be so unafraid to fly, and catch your prey with that distinguishable eye, You provided natural nourishment and fledging, for your nest and family of five.” He looked up and then he looked down, I could feel his confidence drown into the river below us. And as I saw the tiniest tear fall from his eagle eye, I felt so sorry for him. For he was so lost and filled with apprehension, And then the breeze whispered in his ears, “You have to fly to live, and when living you learn to give”. He heard the passing wind calling his name ever so gently, And suddenly, my Golden Eagle stood up so proud and strong. He told me thank you and he couldn't have done it without me. For this time I was his rock, And I was grateful I could give back what I had received from no one... -but him. For way up there in the atmosphere, Is where my Golden Eagle lost his fear.
