Leaves unfurl in the sunlight, basking in nourishing rays. And blossoms begin blooming, in the wake of longer days. Fairies weep on misty nights, crying tears of morning dew. For under a fickle sun, Summer's time is almost through. In Autumn's kaleidoscope, emerald leaves slowly turn. And stoked by orange and gold, scarlet and crimson flames burn. Scattered colors form mosaics as breezes disperse dried leaves. And the forest canopy is stripped from near-naked trees. Autumn fades to sepia; with its brownish lacquered hue. And Nature looks old and worn, showing no sign; She'll renew. Gray clouds gather together as the first snowflakes appear. And life's left hanging on pause, waiting for Winter to clear.
