I Miss You
She was my best friend, she was my life, How could you take her out of my life, Although she had lived for so many years, The loss of her brought me to tears. We gathered around you as you lay there silent, We said our goodbyes and left you a memory, So that up there in heaven you will always remember me, The times that we had and the stories you told, Everything that you said, I was completely sold. You had been through so much, the good and the bad, And when we think about it, it makes us all sad, But then your old friends, they tell us the stories, Of when you were young and the war stories. We used to watch TV when I got home from school, I would always think that you were so cool, Your friends they told me stories of your youth, An for me this is the proof. I miss you nan, you were so cool.
