Let Me Love You
Let me love you all over again And quiet the suffering dwelling in smiling eyes Let me take away the tears that drench your pillow At the darkest pitch of night When you think no one hears you I hear you, I listen Let me be those hands that pull you Shake you, bring you back to the land of the living Let me feed you When you’re too worn down to eat And spoil you when you least expect it Let me tease you, and frighten you With laughter, with tears, with your concern Let me show you how much I love you When you have those shaky doubts Let me tell you that nothing else matters But you and me and this bubble we dwell in Let me show you my anger and my hate So you could feel those repressed emotions And learn to soothe them when they strike Let me say I do not love you So you could tell me but I love you And id smile and push you away So you could pull me back again Let me speak of our unborn children And how much you’d spoil them And what are the names we’d name them And when we’d have them Let me shed light on all the things you still don’t know of me Let me let you understand me And calm me down when I explode When I hurt and tear With words that are yet too simple Let us be everything we’re not supposed to be And do everything they tell us not to Let me let you love me And shush me when I tell you not to Let me show you all over again Everyday How much you mean to this universe of mine How you are a fight I’d never back down on.
