My Childhood Dreams
I did have lovely childhood dreams, and happily, some did come true. Now looking back, it really seems my future was planned and molded to do what most of my dreams already knew. By the time I was three or four, crayons and paper were favorite things. To draw for hours was not a chore. While making kitties and birds with wings, I dreamed of art and the magic it brings. By the time I was five or six, I was a momma with kids of my own, and day-dreamed using my make-believe tricks; Wherever I went I was not alone— with me was my family yet unknown. By the time I was eight or nine, my pencil and paper were close at hand; to write for hours was my pastime. I wrote about nature and life so grand and dreamed of poems and words to command. These dreams came true in later years: an artist I am and a poet too, and a wife and mom; so it appears my childhood dreams happily did come true Later fulfilled what they already knew.
