Empty Words
Empty words, easily spoken,, but hard to swallow, you say them with little effort at all, Empty words, empty meaning, but leave a hurtful mark, Empty words, you say them with a smile, but the pain lingers for awhile. Empty words, let me refresh your memory; Hi, how are you today, good to see you again," You are so smart, you will go on to bigger and better things" Im so glad you were in my class". You are honestly doing your best". Empty words, leave a painful mark, One that you cannot see, Empty words, bring tears, that I have to wipe away, Empty words, lead to an empty space, Are you happy now, Since I am now gone? I know you have moved on, I only hope its not to hurt someone else, Because empty words, only spread pain and mistrust, But Im used to it, someone else may not. Goodbye Suzanne, for my monarch butterflies werent really your thing, But they helped heal me, with love, beauty, that Your empty words caused me to feel, I know now that I have to believe in myself, because trust, honesty, arent really your thing...
