Poverty
The one traveled the world penniless, yet he felt rich. The other asked " How can that be when your not rich like me? Why I have a mansion and so very much more. Why I have a butler who opens my door." The one answered and said, " I have a ceiling of stars and a bed of soft clover. How can there be more? I don't need a door. For it just holds me in... like I'm stuck in a pen." " I carry my shirt on my back which is light, unlike your burden of stress every night. You worry about this and you worry about that. My biggest worry is finding my hat. Oh yes...there it is...I said with a smile. It was easy to find, for I have only one small pile. Unlike yours that would take years to uncover. You have so much stuff, I'm surprised you don't smother! My earthly goods are the mountains I see... the stream water I drink...the animals I meet. Your earthly goods cause the debts you must pay... and for that stuff...you must work most of your day. You have a cat, but your not home to see it... the poor thing is so lonely...you might as well free it. You keep your riches and I will keep mine... when our lives are all over, I'm sure you will find... that the riches you treasured...are all left behind." P.R. Deremer
