War Is Kind Steve L. Siegel 10/16/2015 ~+~ Do not cry, maiden, for war is kind, Because the lover threw his wild hands towards the sky. Excited like a steed he ran on alone, Do not weep. War is kind... War Is Kind Steve L. Siegel July, 2015 ~+~ Do not cry, my maiden, for war is kind, The young lover threw his wild hands towards the sky. As a excited he steed ran on alone, Do not weep. War is kind... * Hoarse, with booming drums of the regiment, The young souls who thirst for the fight, These men were born to drill and die. The unexplained glory that flies above them, Great is the Battle-God, great is his Kingdom, Do not weep. For war is kind... * Where in a field a thousand corpse's lie... Do not weep my love, for war is kind, Because our forefathers fought in its same grasp, Raged within his breast, he gulped and died Do not weep. War is kind... * A Swift blazing flag of the regiment, Eagle with crest of black and gold These were born to drill and die. Point for them was the virtue of slaughter, Making a plans for them to excellence of killing. In a field where a thousand corpse's lie now... * Mothers, whose hearts hang low in humble and weep On the bright splendid Shroud of your son, He fought bravely long-side his bother-in-arms, Do not weep. War is not kind...
