Battered and Bruised
Lady Liberty now so battered and bruised going down on one knee Looking back up so confused at all the people who used to be free For as fires rage out of control there are floods ravaging Her land As where there used to be a soul today there remains only sand We are off our beaten path in being told we are no longer the elite Starting to feel God's wrath for the Lord has never blessed deceit Much of this comes from within but there are outside forces too As with our biggest sin is trying to tell God's Chosen what to do But when we finally sever our ties in leaving Israel unprotected Then so many will come to realize what us others have expected Things are surely worsening as other alike countries suffer too His Praises they don't like to sing but God's Word remains true Topsy-turvy in the land of the free for that's the word I heard She cries out for all to see hoping something inside has stirred Not having a corner to go to as all chant for Her utter demise So as it all begins to come true don't act like it's a big surprise
