A New Forrest
A New Forest For writing poems, it is nice to be rewarded With positive comments if only afforded Which is really only what I ever expected After my madness others have been subjected. Of course, you always know it is great When you gave me compassion and did tolerate My well-written poems I had in mind You may search on forever and never find. Trees in forest is where they are found And only in a grove if fewer are around Family of trees and they are over and done The last one left was this little old one. Now that tree cannot produce anymore Now nothing is left worth fighting for; After being blown away by a big storm In its place a new forest had to form. Sometimes I also get this feeling of loneliness after rubbing person wrong way when it was not intended. Need category for frustration. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran and Poet
