Why Love
Why love? Why pay for what you have And give out what you want? Responsibilities you crave to incure And your shoulder you’ll willingly spread A care for a care you give to get A smile for a smile you show to see Emotions for emotions you feel to sense A heart to a heart you connect to connect A hug for a hug open arms of embrace A kiss for a kiss, that’s a proof of intimacy Two different hearts now bet as one Such yoke two souls a merger One falls the other drops One’s tears the others sadness One’s joy the others gladness And when one fails a heart is broken Only love can mend again Love for love so cheap to bargain Trust for trust so hard to batter A trusting heart takes time to find a buyer Yet don’t ask me ‘’why love’’ Falling in love needs no reason.
