Another Normandy Day
Another Normandy Day Of this very poem, I am the creator, Even though it now may be much later, Thinking about Normandy and what was done Lucky and fortunate of them I was not one. They came on shore boats landing on sand Hopefully just like their leaders had planned Yet, water would rush over their head Which resulting in drowning and being dead. What was it that determined their final fate? Bodies had been bearing too much weight Then their souls from them were set free: Each one did start slowly drifting out to sea. Later, I was at same place to see the scene; Things look great now and are all green And bunker leftovers are only there now Was truly a miracle they survived somehow. Now that their souls are with God and close Here is what I would like and want to propose No matter how hard we may hunt and hunt Peace and quite is what we all really want.
