The shadows always find him no matter day or night. Sitting in a darkened room where he always goes to write. They rise up before him and clear for him a path. Like a dog that knows his master and knows his masters wrath. Yet he's never angry you never hear him rant or yell. It seems almost like silence is a gift he won in hell. Tried by many fires the shadows are the smoke. There ain't nobody laughing when the devil tells the joke. They follow him from room to room watching where he'll go.
