Eight eighteen he's somewhere living another life Leaving behind his kids and his forgiving good wife How do they get on with their lives now without him Still loved him even though he pushed them to the brim We all have a memory of that wonderful one sacred day When the things say and done stuck to us we wish to stay Always pushing people away to protect us all from the pain But in each others hearts we all left a great big lingering stain You body slowly fading away from all the hard life you lived through We were preparing for the worse you just thought we gave up on you But we were never ready when we got the news at nine twenty at night All the little memories flooded back into our minds tears blurring our sight Thoughts racing through our minds we should have went when we heard I saw you the day before said to take care not knowing that's the last word From me you would hear even though we didn't say it we cared We both know we were just too stubborn, hard, and so scared Afraid to feel love when we know it never lasts forever Through all the shit we still cared and would not never Eight eighteen you left us behind and nine twenty we known They say only one was with you but you faced it on your own All your life you were never alone but near the end it felt like it Felt like no one was there for you but then you saw we gave a shit Your point of view changed for the better Your body faded so far away to a feather In so much pain but now you're finally free And truly happy I hope you can finally be
