I Can Only Be Me
Who they want me to be is just what I am...what they want, No time to front tho it's enough liars in this world I gotta roar like a lion but No one honors what's honest there's No one paying me homage the only thing that speaks volumes is chaos & carnage...still I can only be me, am I completely satisfied ask me my answer is no, but the race in the faith is a Marathon so this concrete rose will drink this living water and let the spirit of God in me grow, you reap what you sow right, funny how what's done in the dark comes to light forget the hype I'm everything the spectators said I was, I'm still saved by grace walking by faith of that Higher love, I removed the gloves and the mask picked up more books that told war stories about Religion the good and the bad...I can only be me tho, staying grounded but I'm balancing this life I live on a three strand rope, my ancestors were African not Americans who migrated here on a boat
