Battle the Bees
What can one do when they just don’t belong? What unique tune might a singer prolong when an opposing choir insists on their song? Who follows one voice that opposes the throng? Can it ever be right, what the rest all call wrong? How loud is a bell when compared to a gong? Why isn’t the right path always that of ease? Why can’t one raindrop e’er freshen the seas, and who favors an acorn surrounded by trees? What hope has a leaf in an autumnal breeze? If you want to get honey, you’ll battle the bees. Yet a singular virus can spark a disease… In all circumstances, I’ll do the right thing! If the cause is noble I’ll take the bee sting. If you watch in the wind storm, a few leaves will cling. The acorn’s an oak by the coming of spring. So in spite of the choir, I’ll continue to sing. Til all hear my song, every peasant and king. 05/09/15
