Pushing the Limit
Trying to stay humble, trying to stay giving. Down on my knees praying for forgiveness. Soul bleeds – out in the wilderness. Tears shed on the gravel, sun sets and brings a healing. Pushing the limit. Pushing the limit… Think that I'm moving but I’ve been stuck. Trying to stay fresh and on point. Truth is about being 100, my mind fighting off battles and chaos. On a roller coaster ride that I need to get off. My heart prays but it still races with my feet planted in the quick sand. And the devil steady trying to pull me down, and I need hand, and a quick deliverance from all the trouble. Pushing the limit. Pushing the limit. Tears want to shed but not one escapes. I want to shout and scream but all I can give is silence. Tossing and turning; waking and yearning. Feel like exploring; am I in mourning? Pushing the limit. Pushing the limit... Working - writing my truth. Like an engineer creating some buildings. It’s building up. Building up. Tossing and turning; waking and yearning. Feel like exploring; am I in mourning? Pushing the limit. Pushing the limit... © Stephanie Gutierrez 2015
