He Sure Had Held Her
He sure had held her in such high esteem Which was long way to fall so it did seem Not only that she now was love of his life Always trying to take her for his wife. Looks like close to London are getting near Making sure we did not forget our rain gear For land and place that forever will be wet Ain't no way any more it could possibly get. My lovely betrothed with me had brought Who invariably always means such a lot But will the raging rain ever disappear So we can go outside and start to cheer. Not only that how cold it has been and been Would we want to go back to London again Or remain at home where we are wide awake And bright sun both of us is sure to bake. We had left London with much remorse It was as if we were ridding a dark horse Who they distinguished as being a drug user And at Kentucky Derby ended up being a loser. To lift in London we waited for all of the fog Ended up having a meal with Hole in the Hog Was tough and chew much effort was exerted Then we took off from London leaving it deserted. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran PS. Hope our trip to London doesn't end up this way.
