I'Ll Love All of You All My Days
I have spent my days in love, breaking through the surface of you… laid restless with your undeniable essence, tasted your spontaneity, comforted your loneliness, quivered within your beating heart, breathed in your fire…I’ve walked your path before your tentative feet marked the stones, counted your tears when you thought no eyes cried with yours, suffered the bruising of all your pain, sheltered you secretly from pouring rain. I could paint a meticulous picture of every crease in your tender smile and listen to your laughter like a favorite love song for all my days. I could spend every moment with you and forever discover a nuance to love, for I love you with all I am… and if one day I grow old and lose a piece of who I once was, as memories become fleeting and my earthly days become digits on my hand, I will hold onto this… (not a thought but a feeling) I will know in my heart, the stepping stones your feet have marked, and I will follow you into eternal light of love.
