Wrong Place, Wrong Time
You promised to support me, protect me and respect me. but truthfully the opposite Is all that you ever gave me I can’t do it all alone plus keep the fires lit Then hear all your grief when I let something slip. I give and I give but never receive There’s much more to love than just loving me Sick of saying I’m sorry For things I haven’t done Just to keep the peace So you feel that you’ve won. I have to hear every detail of your do-nothing life When do you ever take time to ask anything about mine. You knock me down every chance you get If I really am that bad Then why haven’t you left? I’m stupid and worthless that’s how I've always felt. That’s just how you work it and you do your job so well. They say payback’s a bitch So I'll make her mine When I see a chance I’ll take it and leave your ass behind I was in the wrong place at the wrong time the day that I met you. Wrong place, wrong time there’s nothing’s left of me so there’s nothing left to do.
