I Asked of God
I asked of God, 'Where's heaven?' Now, sun's aura greets the day. Its light and warmth enable us to work, to grow, and play. I asked of God, 'Where's beauty.' His sun yields to evening's sky. Each rich-hued dusk of colors mark so well a day gone by. Then God showed me the peoples that make up the human race. "All that you see are children, please show them my truth and grace." I asked God, "Take me home now, I'm so weary, lonely, tired?" He answered, "Child, have patience, strive toward all things aspired." He sees me inside-out, this God and knows it's hard to wait. Life's trials are but a shadow of the glory past His gate. "Be patient, child, in all you do this journey's but a stay. My promise is of mansions, I'll return to lead the way." Common verse 4-14-14
