If Only I Could Hate You
There are many things I hate, many more that I should, But despite this I can't, I really wish I could. It's the little things that get me mad, Like the way you always seem to make me sad. I hate the fact that I don't hate you, Trust me I've really really tried to. I hate the way you know me the best, You know all the answers and I'm the test. I hate the way you make me smile, Because that doesn't really ever last for a while. I hate it when you're there in my mind, I wish I could leave the memory of you behind. So many times I've tried to walk away, But that didn't really work as I'm still here today. You're one of the many things I should hate, But to me you're a better mate. You treated me better as a friend, So in a way I'm glad the relationship did end. I hate the way that I love you still, And the sad thing is I think I always will.
