Adieu
To think of you is not a torture But what an elegant delight! The sense of self esteem I'll nurture With lots of diligence and might. What do I want to say, I wonder? I guess, it's all been said before And yet I drill and peel and ponder On what that is that I want more. The role of house wife do I admire? Sex slave's collar do I covet? To love and to be loved I aspire And yet I would submit in bed. How do I do it? You would ask me? - I stopped pretending, - I'll reply. There'd be no tension, I would just be In the moment, I won't deny The hopelessness, the anguish, the fear. How did I not see? It's a game! You're so irreplaceable, so dear. Our interaction has no name. I'll retrospect on all that happened. I'll think the situation through, Derive a strategy. I mapped it! Right! That's where I went wrong. Adieu!
