The Risen Lord
The day was dark and gloomy, here he come via the Delarosa The burden of the cross too heavy to bear as blood trickled down his face The crowd cried out in agony as they saw their Savior lose stability The sound of anguish filled the air, while his tormentors begin to cheer The lashes get louder; harder, more intense as he carried his cross to the end Anguish with pain, they hammered the nails through his hands and feet one by one Overcome with grief he cried out in pain, Father why have you forsaken me The women wept, his brethrens fall on their knees overcome by what they see Suddenly the heaven shook, the earth moved and his tormenters began to flee as God open heaven’s portal to raise his son to victory There he cried out "Father it is finished my work here on earth is done.” His mother wept, but his brethren remember the third day is coming When the angels would roll the stone away, and our Lord would appear.
