Let God Be All Things
Let God Be All Things Written: By Tom Wright 2/13/99 Let me be your day's illuminating light and when complete, I'll be your night. I'll be the sun that keeps you warm, I am the wind, the eye within the storm. I am the moon set in your darkest night. Let me be the one who takes away your fright. I am the tree that stands so tall and yet the rain I am, that from the sky will fall. I am the cloud in a lazy summer sky and that small voice, that often you ask, why? I am the flower and I'm the blade of grass I'll often be at school, the teacher of your class. I am the bird that flies about so free and in the pretty song it sings, you'll find me. I was the stranger along a dusty road, the one you failed to help, by sharing his load. I am that brother, in need of a drink, knowing beforehand, each thought you'll think. I am the child, both starving and sick, I am the timekeeper, recording each heart's tick. I'm the homeless person found on the street, at times, the policeman, found walking his beat. I'll be the unknown face, in every crowd, for those unborn, I'll be the voice, that cries aloud. I'm the ear that hears the things you say each day, I'll be in that smile, that blesses you, along life's way. When your end comes, I'll be your setting sun, And at Heavens sunrise, there too, I'll be the one.
