Harvest Moon
Austere and cold, the harvest moon adrift through raven skies, alone. Do you divine some ancient rune, or are you but a mute, gray stone? The timeless void that you traverse holds earth and stars eternal course. Will you convey a prophet's curse, or lead all men unto their source? Your haunting, amber face conceals enigmas of the heavens deep. The sparkling stars that dusk reveals assuage us each night's silent sweep. We view your vast, celestial realms from sheltered dens on earth below. You steer the broad, nocturnal helm to guide us safe through heaven's flow. We ponder on this cloud-strewn night before we seek out sleep and dreams, might we join you where stars shine bright to soar your wide, ethereal streams? Harvest Moon *for the harvest moon, 2013
