We Are Forgiven
We Are Forgiven Warm wind tries and then down eventually dies While there are Carolina Blue and azure skies Which will exist until the sun does go down And night has started wearing its black gown. Sunsets sure seem so pretty as can be And has settled down below every tree All is bound with great beauty all around Every thing stands still without a sound. Night is nigh after down started creeping And pretty soon all of us will be sleeping After saying prayers while worshipping God Then off to sleep had started to nod. Dreams came and went and did drift by Some day soon certainly know I will die End up in eternity after I have passed on This is where faithful people will have gone. Now that in heaven I am finally there Only beauty can be found everywhere As I saw it after again starting to look All of my breath away it then soon took. God was ram and Son His precious lamb Then I heard Him say, "I am that I am," Was forgiven and saved from my each sin Live in heaven and forever will have been. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran
