The Late Appearance of Mercury
Golden eyed demon dances in my dreams He awaits my return to his world, his smile sickens me He calls himself Wrathe, He says he can help me..in the matters at hand I slowly approach him as he stands before me And he reaches out to touch my face I am filled with the Divine Knowledge momentarily Until he pulls his hands away Then I am left empty, hollow Sorrowful of what I could have known 'I'll put it back,' he says 'Just give it time, you will never fully understand Until you have just slightly lost your mind' I understand, I really do He tells me my imperfections don't bother him any Why would he care, when its all he has ever seen? But it is different with me 'You aren't broken' he tells me 'You are shattered beyond repair' He sees my reaction as the tears well and I just stare Then he puts his hands on my face again and tells me this 'The fun thing about being shattered Is that not all of the pieces fit where they used to. And you can make something new of them. You have so many pieces. Therefore, I suppose we can make all kinds of different shapes.' He smiles in my face Then I awake
