Does He Still Love Me?
Years gone by since we said those words, “I do”. We have had our good and our bad. So many changes we both have gone through. We have grown in knowledge And yes our figures as well. We have built a life, a family and a home. We have gone through sorrows and lost much. But no matter, we still have each other. I wonder though, “Does he still love me?” I am not the same as I was when we met. I lack the elegant beauty on the outside, And the years have taken its toll. My heart and soul has changed as well. In some ways we have grown together, But we have drifted apart in many. I wonder though if he loves me still. I know it may not be the same As the day he said, “I do”. Could it be more or could it be less? Does he still love me? He still helps around the house, Which is all right with me. He still says, “I love you” but is he sincere? He still gives a peck on the cheek, But it’s not the same as he did years before. I do not ask for much, Only to show his love as he once did. I wonder, “Does he love me?”
