Battle Hard
Lost out there, Battle scarred and weakened by the strikes, Still standing. Gazing into the distance one thousand yards out, filled with fog, the haze of memories, faces, times, places gone. Down this line starring at futures past One step forward, foreign, fragile and shaky, Surveying the battle field of life, the casualties inflicted and those wounded in my sight. Time changes, it moves the past forever changed to fit a mood highlighted by fear. My shoreline is slapped with the cleansing oceans spray, Peaceful, Solace. Quiet with time to reflect, Learning from this life, understanding more of myself, Moving where I need to be. Battle Scarred and strong The Laughs and drinks, the victory remaining, Reviewed, re-played. Remembering My Battle Scars Are my Medals of Courage.
