Epic Proportions of Poems
Epic Proportions of Poems While often writing and am here waiting And my mind often has been hesitating Which subject should be the very best? People will like and no one does detest. Why won't poets many comments make That can cause pain with much heartache Worry about subject soon to be chosen Placing proper emphasis on their closing. There are poets who prefer the profane And this to many may be quite mundane Off record and wall pulled from thin air Who often won't give a and don't care. Poet bruised by poem needs an antiseptic When producing a proportion that is epic As each poem will start paving the way And prepared for what to write and say. Poetic pace may slow as progress decreases And can only remember bits and pieces So if shiver up spine poem starts to send This is what you did intend in the end. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran
