I smiled, and quickly opened my eyes to try and catch a glimpse of your face, but just that fast you were gone and I returned to the solitude of my loneliness. You know it's hard; being without you is the one thing that I was not prepared for. For just like flowers wither and lose their beauty, so am I each day that I'm without you. I call out your name looking for comfort in the sound of your laughter, with your presence lingering all around me, I try and get closer to you; but the closer I get to you the farther I drift into my sorrows. Why did you leave me? Was the depth of your pain deeper than the ties we've shared our whole lives? Was the selfish act a cry for help gone wrong?
