Light and Dark
If I had begged instead of borrowed would I see a new tomorrow brighter days and Better dreams of what lies behind this in-between you are so close but yet so far as if staring at a passing star what is this light that you emit eclipsing all that dare surround it as if to say I am the one you have been waiting for I'll give you all you need and more I blink my eyes a couple times and try to hit rewind in my mind because the day we first met I swear above the Angels wept I heard a sound soft as silk yet so profound it nearly knocked me too the ground and in my chest I felt this beat as well as sweat run down my cheek this nervousness that I feel surely it must be concealed for if she happens to look down upon this lowly clown her beautiful smile will turn to a deplorable frown because she is light and I am dark the difference between us seemed too blatant for this to ever become a relation but this warming sensation sweeps over me and gives me the confidence to go and see just what this angel thinks of me as I fumble down this street the two of us our eyes they meet an overwhelming sight greets my jaded eyes because you smiled so bright as I said hi we talked some more a minute or two when I told you your gorgeous you just blushed and responded with your handsome too I felt as if my heart grew when I reached for your hand and you held mine too no more do I wander the streets all alone I've found my angel and know what is home this thing I've never quite felt before I want it now more and more I'll try my hardest to make you feel the exact same way until the very day we both take that walk down the isle they say I will lift your veil and know it's true on the moment I see your lips say I do
