Dedication To a New Friend
DEDICATED TO A NEW FRIEND when i was young times were different good times came in the form of the games we played games forgotten of yesterday stick ball on brooklyn streets battle tops and flying pidgeons watching as i pushed my birds to heights where one day i hope'd to go watching as the would leave my sight only to return home minutes later its a cycle we rest where our hearts find peace we sleep where we find warmth in the comfort of loving arms at times things were hard yet i found laughter to chase tears away i found love it too ran away i found myself and again ran away looking at who i was being reminded daily by those around me that when one destroys he is taking away from anothers labor at that point i realized i was not a soldier but an ignorant child never being taught the right way never seeing things from the view of others then came the change in age in life in view in thinking in who i was now it is i who embrace i who show the love i who share for it is better to have lived and far better to have laughter over the tears DAVID SANDERS 01.13.2015
