Letter of Goodbye
It’s midnight, and the clock sets the scene. Ticking, as she holds back her scream. The anguish she feels, and the demons she holds, The only way she can feel, is to let it unfold. Every tick keeps the time, as she counts down the hours. The notes being written, and the paper, her tears, shower. Her hands are shaky, and her wrists are bleeding, nobody ever knew, the love she was needing. Half past one, and her note’s almost done. She pours out her life, her demons have won. The inspiration she took, from her friend down the street, all went away, when from her life she did flee. She left her best friend, crying, sad, and broken. Her one and only friend, follows the same path that was taken. The cutting got boring, and the blood held no meaning, The only way to feel right, was to end this life feeling, Like she was going to be ok. Her pain would be healed, He tears would not fall, She’d have no more to give, when from the bridge she’d fall. She remembers her parents, and all the love they gave, But it just wasn’t enough, for her life to save. So as she sits her crying, Sad, tired and broken, She writes here last words, and leaves the world with this token: “I always knew those that loved me, but it didn’t matter. Every day was a fight, and I was on the losing side. I just couldn’t hold out any longer. So remember those like me, you may be able to save them before it’s too late.” She walks to the bridge, and she thinks of her life. All of the tears, pain, and the strife. she thought of the guy, that she’d always loved. And all of the times he said, she was who he’d loved. And as she stepped onto the edge, she felt her satisfaction, in knowing that her life, would no longer be in faction. As she steps off the edge, into the abyss, She looks at the ground, And finally feels bliss.
