When I Finally Broke
I have been defeated My battle cry transfigured into silent tears rolling down my cheeks My middle finger morphed into a fist Which changed into busted knuckles Then nails digging into my skin to hold myself back from screaming Now a fragile hand Reaching for something... Anything Offered a knife Then cut open with the word pathetic Everyone that promised to fight for me betrayed me Without the decency to do it While I was watching..no I suppose the golden rule is wait until someone's back is turned Then screw them over (I'll have to remember that) Now I just don't believe in love and friendship They're both nasty lies someone told me Made me believe To make me look weak Since he left No one else who has tried to take his place has managed to mean a thing to me
