A Promise
A Promise Trying hard to just stay focused on the road that lies ahead. Keeping mindful of importance of words written in red. Still times I see me stumble times I see me fall. Trying not to miss a thing trying to see it all. But this one thing I always do when my dreams are caving in. Dry my eyes I start to rise and begin to dream again. For mountains they are plenty and often so much taller. Or maybe it's just me and my vision's growing smaller. Each day that I live I see deeper into this storm I'm hurled. Maybe just by helping one I still can change the world. My life just one big lesson and the lesson it must teach. Is sometimes of the dreams we dream some dreams are out of reach. Still I keep on dreaming heart set on things ahead. Clinging to a promise and words written in red. Edwin C Hofert
