Sailing
Jesus was in the boat with us, And a furious storm still came. He was asleep in the stern Through the whirling winds And whipping waves; he rested As the waters swamped the boat. It began sinking and swirling. He slept through our frantic panic Until I smacked his leather cushion And shook him and woke him up. "Master, Master don't you care if we die?" I yelled with bulging eyes in an anxiety attack. He waded through the water and winds To the mast and cried with a loud voice, "Be quiet! Be still." We stopped wrestling. There was immediate calm. The squall ceased. The winds hushed. The waves died down. Jesus looked around at each of us and said, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" We looked around at each other in amazement That even nature would do whatever he commanded. What can't this man do? Why should we not trust him. He had said to us, "Let's go to the other side of the lake."
