Loved Me For Awhile
Loved Me For Awhile I felt you come into my life oh the joy I came to know. Unprepared to say the least the day I felt you go. You came and went it seemed to me oh how I love your smile. Thankful for the time at least you loved me for awhile. Encouraged while along my way like sunshine in the rain. You alone could see through me past my eyes into my pain. I tried to hide the tears I cried wanting not to bring you down. New tears found their way to me when you quit coming around. Back to all alone once more I guess that's just my style. But I'll always think of that sweet time you loved me for awhile. I felt you come into my life oh the joy I came to know. Unprepared to say the least the day I felt you go. Edwin C Hofert For all of those that came into my life bringing me much joy. But at some point tried slipping quietly away. I may not have seen you leave. But I felt you go. I still feel your absence every bit as much as I felt your presence when you were here. Thank you. For loving me if only for awhile. Ed
