Empty Cardboard Box
The times they tell a story of an empty cardboard box The home of two executives without home or precious stocks Jobs and money took their flight on the latest evil wind How long will the workers slave just to find a job again? Hope has up and flown away for millions in the world It is like a hidden tempest has suddenly unfurled Lashing out they still speculate like they did before But nothing seems to work and there’s no more open door What lies ahead looks dark and bleak uncertainty the rule Where are the funds to finance the paying of the bills and fuel? How will they keep warm and fed this year? Do you have a clue? Can you find anything to help the needy now, or is that you? Lots of things are changing fast and will never be the same Did you make a plan to give you peace when the tempest came? Or will you find your home some day in an empty cardboard box? Like the weary executives who trusted in their stocks
