I Remember
I remember how your brown hair glistening in the sunlight, and your pretty brown eyes looked that one night. I remember how you looked at me when you didn’t like something I said, and how it felt when I lost you as a friend. I remember how the thought of you made me weaken, and my heart play hopscotch in my chest and I felt like a kid all over again. I remember. I remember how you smiled, and how u had a way of making everything about me seem beautiful even on cloudy days. I remember the first time I seen you cry, and I remember thinking I may be more hurt by your tears then what ever you were upset about. I remember thinking what if you were mine? What if I could make her as happy as she makes me feel just being her presence? I remember that you unlike any woman I’ve ever met have had a spell on me since the first time I met you so many years ago. I remember how quiet you were. How shy you were. I remember how it felt to have you close, but even more so how it felt to not. I remember how you liked to always be right. How you hated Shakira’s voice and how you told me its ironic your name means life because you feel like you don’t have one. I remember how I know you just smiled then, because even if you don’t remember saying it you know it’s something you’d say. I remember how much I know you, and still care about you so even if I try to forget you.......... I’ll always remember.
