The Lunatic's Circle
Everything goes round and round No one seems to have a frown The Lunatic is going down to the moving, lighted town The Lunatic is now retired His thoughts are oh so tired Mary, no one seems to find her Engulfed in a sea of fur The Loony leaves the earth His conscious is receding In life, he’s found the meaning He tells them “Please don’t leave me!” (He) Feels like he is weeping The Lunatic writes in his head The tip is out of lead Everyone screams and shouts It all simply restarts It all calms down Everything goes around Everyone’s cheery, but The Dreary He sits alone, calls her on the phone “Help! The walls are breathing No one seems to hear me.” “Do you see what I see? On the floor above me.” It all falls down Gets turned around Now he has a frown Goodbye, lighted town As it’s getting cold, He’s growing old His thoughts are coming back Building on the stack He stands above the track Passing where he’s been before He’s lost in his thoughts Ones that never seem to stop.
