To Hell and Back
To Hell and Back By Laura Dee Battle December 20, 2014 Frantically I'm pacing through Everything I used to do I'm laying down but still insane Strap me to this rusted frame Make it stop, the voices here Inside my head, but nowhere near Make the sounds of crashing cars Destroy the tears that seem bizarre Knock me down into the drain Take away my damaged brain Just make it stop, the truth I sought I cannot stand the light I bought Burn away my softer skin Feeling every scar within I cannot feel another lie Why did I never get to die? It may be darkness creeping in Bleeding from my scars within Never have I fought so much Through hell I go without a crutch For once I feel the pain is real My prize to gain for this ordeal It's only now that I can smile I'll let you in; please stay awhile
