Drunken Mind
The world has many avenues which options do I take? Among the different drinks I have a glass full of hate Consumption is as sickness Food for thought comes to plate Like fish I took the bait Now I’m looking to escape hurry now can’t be late Looking for some answers should let God decide my fate I need a better rate not to walk through those gates Like a point guard controlling tempo need to switch up the pace. These words are hardly hidden dangling at my face Thoughts sprinting blisteringly Like Usain Bolt in that race So ever quickly the other day some shit hit me, I looked around and saw a bunch of ghosts just sitting with me I wasn’t scared but was something that I embraced I tried to be the ace who miserably failed in that case With a clouded mind I’m now stuck in some place So bitter, Need something sweet to savour the taste. Was it all for nothing flushed away disposable waste? Self-inflicted wounds but my physical’s okay Everything else may be open for debate Only time will tell how much more that I can take Nowadays, it seems like nothing matters anymore Hearing little whispers in corners of corridors First time feelings of being unsure How the hell you gonna question if my heart was really pure? I wanted nothing less but to take you on tour I should have never allowed you the upper hand and ruin my core. My wrongdoing, I wanted more, My feelings true but I see yours weren’t I’ll just face down, and hitch a ride off the strength of a current.
