Deep Thoughts
Why are we so afraid to fall in love, When our heart we ware deep in our souls Comes from a place with roads of gold. We try our best to not get attached Like a band of Velcro laced on our backs But when it comes down to it a life of pain The one we loved left us in the rain. We buy gifts to replace the hurt When we all know love won't come in a shirt We move forward or so we think Till the next person comes in to make us weak Putting all our trust in them won't ever be Because that first love we had we must defeat Its not fair to the next to feel our wrath of hurt But we seem to come off like a jerk If we chose to love and this we do Make sure this love will remain true No better days will make you smile And to insure your love they will walk that mile Keep God on your hearts He will never fail And till next time I wish you well.
