My Villanelle Prayer
Heaven open my eyes so I may see. My soul grows bitter as taste of black tea. Please take my wicked ways, away from me. Heavy my burden, with my heart so gray, For ever increasing my sins are they. Heaven open my eyes so I may see. Fools upon fools I've let litter my day Blindly leading me into sinful play. Please take my wicked ways, away from me. Darkness has ventured, my life is in fray I pray let me please raise my head to say Heaven open my eyes so I may see. As I fear earthward travels Heavens sleigh Send pity, for I am the Devil's prey. Please take my wicked ways, away from me. See me, my Father, how my heart does weigh Please bless me now Lord with your tears, I pray. Heaven open my eyes so I may see. Please take my wicked ways, away from me.
