A Christmas Snow
A Christmas Snow In the distance I hear them, Through the snow capped hills beyond the icy river below... The voices are a delight to the ears... I smile in spite of the cold... I run and stumble, a cascade of snow quickly swallows me whole... I race toward the magical sounds that fill the brisk air.... I smile in spite of the cold... As I catch my breath I gaze intently... A sight so amazing, so incredible, I freeze in place... The brilliant snowflakes delicately fall gently across my face... I smile in spite of the cold... Set into the white washed hills is a lit city of sorts... Raised above the blanket of snow... Made entirely of ice crystal are the houses of old... I smile in spite of the cold... I gasp... as I am blinded by the scene that lay before me... Singing with angelic voices are children with rosy cheeks... They are serene and blissful so full of light... I smile in spite of the cold... For the Christmas Snow Contest By: Meg Anderson 12-1-14
